Artist Bio
Gary Nisbet creates painted collages featuring forms drawn from the domestic realm of home. Aspects of the garden, library and kitchen table are invited to dialogue through his conscience collage process. He explores the themes of growth and nurture, cycles of life and family. Connection, rhythm, ceremony, purpose; these arrangements painted over the history of the stressed surface, is an appropriate juxtaposition to represent everyday life. Gary, a native of California and graduate of California State University, has shown primarily on the west coast. His work can be found in many corporate and private collections countrywide.
