James Aponovich
Artist Bio
Aponovich is an internationally renowned artist. His paintings range from distinctive still life compositions, to sweeping landscapes, to more recent paintings filled with a sensual array of flowers and domestic objects set before an Italianate landscape. Inspired by ancient and Renaissance art as well as Dutch seventeenth-century painting, his work is represented in numerous museum collections including The Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Fiine Arts in Boston, the Portland Art Museum, the Decordova Museum and others. Mr. Aponovich resides in New Hampshire where he has received the prestigiojus honor of being the state's distinguished Artist Laureate.
