Artist Bio
Joni Sternbach photographs along the water’s edge of America’s coastal shorelines.
Ms. Sternbach utilizes 19th century photographic processes while creating jewel-like Ambrotypes and Tintypes.
The hand poured collodion process produces unique and instantaneous positives on a glass plate (ambrotypes) or tin (ferrotypes) as well as negatives. The entire process is done on location, with a portable darkroom.
