Artist Bio
Lynette Shaw’s abstract landscapes are built solidly on the relationships of paint to surface, mark making to color. The fields and trees offer New England undertones, but are ambiguous enough to guide the viewer to his or her own specific memory of time or place. Lynette is a resident of Lincoln, MA, a town set in a backdrop of inspirational, rural landscapes. A graduate of Tufts, Lynette continued on to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston where she culminated her studies with a Traveling Scholarship award. Lynette has shown with Brenda Taylor Gallery, New York and Boston, prior to her solo show at Clark Gallery in January of 2006.
